About TRAX

TRAX Entertainment was born in 1985, just before founder Jeff Fishman acquired the American Record Pool, an organization of 125 professional club and radio DJs formed in 1981 serving the greater Southern California market and beyond.  With the help of some dedicated individuals and an industry ready to rock, Jeff launched TRAX Dance Music Guide, a successful trade publication that featured the best of new music releases and action covering radio, retail, and nightclubs across the USA.  Sold across the country by Tower Records, Wherehouse Entertainment, and a variety of record outlets, TRAX received high honors for breaking many new artists and introducing cutting edge music promotions.

When the internet was young, TRAX emerged online with the TRAX*USA Passport website, the TRAXnet BBS music information service and as a key contributor to the Compuserve music industry forum.  These were early networking bulletin boards for industry pros and record pool members. Now we are based on the island of Kauai, working on various productions on and off the internet, including app development and some new social networking tools that we look forward to sharing soon.  Thanks for your interest and visit.
